Pe 15 martie 2020 ar fi trebuit sa fim la Budapesta, la Meet and Code Award Weekend.
Nu s-a mai întâmplat pentru că pandemie, pentru că izolare, pentru că fără evenimente și călătorii. Pentru că probleme reale la nivel mondial, provocări rele pentru oameni și pentru tehnologie.
Lumea s-a schimbat dintr-o dată fără să ne fi imaginat asta.
Ne întâlnim online 12 echipe din Europa și organizatorii Meet and Code.
Nu am simțit însă bucuria din poză. Mai degrabă apăsare și o mare responsabilitate pentru ce urmează.

Am sărbătorit astăzi virtual, alături de toți colegii din TechSoup Europe, finaliștii grozavi și câștigătorii din Meet and Code ediția 2019. 2 proiecte educaționale din România
au fost alese anul trecut finaliste ale competiției europene Meet and Code, din mii de proiecte din toată Europa:
Traffic Lights, coordonat de Kabai Timea pentru Asociația Părinților Ioan Slavici Satu Mare.

Lots of inspiring projects and progressive ideas were brought to life within the Meet and Code project. All of the finalists created award-worthy events, oriented on educating, developing and empowering a generation. Scheduled to take place in Budapest during the month of March, the annual Meet and Code Awards was hosted as a virtual event on May 12h 2020. As the world braces global curfews and regional lockdowns, the organizing team and partners have prioritized health and safety first.
Nevertheless, the jury has decided and we are happy to announce the winners in four categories of Meet and Code 2019!
Girls do IT!
This award category aims to help close the gender gap in IT and Coding. For this category, we seek creative events that break down gender stereotypes and empower girls in coding.
